KeyNotes Play
Discover, Create, Excel: Connect through the keys

Ages 10+
Designed specifically for older learners, KeyNotes Play fosters a collaborative and engaging environment, allowing students to explore and master the piano together. Clear challenges and differentiated tasks lead to motivated and committed learners.
Musical autonomy
KeyNotes Play emphasizes autonomy, empowering older beginners to take control of their musical journey. We believe that freedom to explore and express themselves enhances the joy of learning.
Reading music is always a challenge for learners and we address this by using a variety of approaches. We also give analyze pages to that students can find answers for themselves.

Performers
Our KeyNotes Play learners perform every lesson! Structured performance time at the end sees all students performing both solo and as an ensemble.
Collaboration
The social setting of group piano is utilized to its full force in our KeyNotes Play classes! Students work together, help each other, encourage each other and develop their own piano squad!

Games
Games help to introduce and consolidate concepts and skills! Each game aims to embed learning and give students an opportunity to collaborate.
Singing
Singing is a key skill when learning any instrument, and our Storytellers sing the songs that they learn to play, using text from the story. We also encourage learners to sing finger numbers and letter names.
Learning objectives are super clear in our KeyNotes Play workbooks; students know whether they are on track and can take ownership of their progress, developing their independent thinking skills.
Aims & objectives
Every lesson has activities that engage learners with rhythms: listening, tapping, creating, or reading, through which they develop an excellent sense of pulse!

Challenges
Every piece has two different versions and four ways of playing them, in order to layer up and build difficulty. Students can work through the various challenges, mastering each one before up-levelling. This is not only a great tool for learning in groups, it is also truly motivating for students.

Group music-making, individual progress
Our innovative structures for differentiation and cyclical learning structures means that each student is able to have a suitable level of challenge for themselves even as they learn and play as a group. No learner is left behind or held back. We cover every learning style through our delivery and ensure that every learner thrives!
